Takedown Policy

Last updated: May 2026

We respect the rights of website operators and individuals. If you believe that data published by this Observatory infringes your rights, use the process below to request its removal.

1. Requests from marketplace operators

If you operate one of the marketplaces we monitor and you want us to stop collecting data from your site, or to remove previously collected data, email us at contact@intellisynthprices.com with the subject line Takedown Request — Operator.

Please include:

  • The domain name of your marketplace
  • Whether you want scraping stopped, historical data removed, or both
  • Proof that you are authorised to act on behalf of the operator

Alternative: add Disallow: / (or a path-specific rule) for the user agent SynthObservatoryBot to your robots.txt. We check robots.txt before each scraping run and will stop automatically.

2. GDPR erasure requests (individuals)

If you are an individual who had a listing on one of the monitored marketplaces and you want any data relating to you removed, you have the right to request erasure under GDPR Art. 17.

Please note that since May 2026 we do not store seller usernames or names — only price, city, country, and instrument title are retained.

Email contact@intellisynthprices.com with the subject line GDPR Erasure Request, including the URL(s) of the original listing(s) and the marketplace where they appeared.

3. Copyright / intellectual property

If you believe we have reproduced content in which you hold copyright (e.g. a product photograph), email contact@intellisynthprices.com with the subject line Copyright Complaint, describing the work and where it appears on our site.

4. Response time and process

We acknowledge all valid requests within 5 business days and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If your request is accepted we will confirm the action taken. If we decline, we will explain why.

We do not charge a fee for handling takedown requests.
